Hand Made Pottery                                              John Powell     Carol Tomlinson 

We met in the Ceramics Department at College. Carol was interested in weaving and jewelry, ethnic and folk art design. Her pottery was functional, decorated with patterns and animals from folk art influences. John was working on hand building and throwing, as well as glaze design. We set up our pottery and started to create pottery together. What has evolved is a style of pottery unique to us and strongly influenced by traditional arts from around the world.
